Calculators
Every calculator here runs entirely in your browser, sends nothing anywhere, and prints the formula it used underneath the answer. If you disagree with a result, you can check the arithmetic.
Why these and not others
A calculator is only worth building when the question has an exact answer. Sensitivity conversion, frame timing, polling intervals and screen geometry are arithmetic: there is one correct output. Questions like "which mouse is best" are not arithmetic, and a tool that pretends otherwise is a quiz dressed as a measurement. You will not find one of those here.
Aim and sensitivity
- Sensitivity converterMove a sensitivity between games at any DPI. Shows the cm/360 that stays constant.
- eDPI and cm/360 calculatorForwards from a sensitivity, or backwards from a target distance.
- ADS and zoom multiplierWork out the scoped multiplier for 0%, 50% or 100% monitor distance matching.
Hardware fit
- Mouse size finderHand length, hand width and grip style in; shell dimensions and matching mice out.
- Mousepad size calculatorThe pad width your cm/360 actually needs, with a margin for repositioning.
- Monitor size and distancePhysical dimensions, PPI, horizontal field of view and pixels per degree.
Timing and latency
- Input lag budgetSix stages from switch to photon, ranked, with the worst offender named.
- FPS and refresh rateFrame time, scan-out wait, and whether a display upgrade would do anything for you.
What these tools assume
All of them assume a linear, unaccelerated input path: raw input on, mouse acceleration off, Windows pointer speed at the default 6/11 notch. If any of those is untrue, the arithmetic is still correct but it no longer describes your machine. The Windows pointer speed page explains why 6/11 is the only setting that leaves your counts untouched, and the acceleration page covers the rest.
Nothing is stored on a server. The sensitivity converter remembers your last inputs in your browser's local storage so you do not have to retype them, and you can clear that by clearing site data. See privacy.
