How to use this table
- Establish your target dimensions first. The size finder turns hand length, hand width and grip style into a shell size window. Without that, sorting by weight is choosing on the least important axis.
- Filter by length, then by width. Length determines whether the shell supports your hand; width determines whether your thumb and ring finger can pinch.
- Check the hump position against your grip. Rear hump for palm, centre for anything, flat for claw and fingertip. Two mice with the same height number can be different categories of object.
- Only then look at weight, and only care about it if you are above about 80 g or below about 50 g, where the differences become real.
- Ignore the sensor column unless you use a glass pad or need a specific lift-off distance behaviour. Every sensor here tracks perfectly within human movement ranges.
What is not in this table, deliberately
Price, because it varies by region and by week and would be wrong within days. Battery life, because manufacturer figures are quoted at 1000 Hz with lighting off and are not comparable between brands. Click latency, because the differences between current mice are below the threshold at which they affect play, and quoting them invites decisions on the wrong axis.

Frequently asked questions
Why are there not more mice in this database?
Because a list of every mouse on sale is a search problem, not a reference. This set is chosen so that every distinct shape archetype and every size band is represented, which is what you need when you are working out what fits. A hundred variations on the same shell would not add information.
How accurate are these specifications?
Weight and dimensions are transcribed from manufacturer product pages and are as accurate as those pages. Manufacturers occasionally publish figures that differ from measured units by a gram or two, and some quote weight without the cable or without a dongle. Treat them as accurate to about a gram and a millimetre.
What do the weight classes mean?
They are our framework, with thresholds set where grip strategy actually changes rather than at round numbers. Under 45 g the shell must be compromised structurally. 45 to 59 g is the current competitive sweet spot. 75 g and up starts costing claw grippers real effort, and 90 g and up starts costing low-sensitivity arm aimers overshoot.
