Privacy
The short version: the calculators run entirely in your browser and send nothing anywhere, the site stores nothing about you on a server, and the only third-party data collection is display advertising, which you can control.
The calculators
Every calculator on this site is JavaScript running in your browser. When you enter a DPI, a sensitivity, a hand measurement or a framerate:
- Nothing is transmitted. The arithmetic happens on your device and the result is written to the page. No request is made to any server with your inputs.
- The sensitivity converter remembers your last inputs in your browser's local storage, so you do not have to retype them. That data never leaves your device and you can clear it by clearing site data for this site in your browser settings.
- No other tool stores anything. Reload the page and it is gone.
Search
Site search downloads a small index file once and then matches your query against it locally. Your search terms are not sent anywhere and are not logged.
Server logs
The web server that delivers these pages records standard request information (the page requested, a timestamp, a user agent string and an IP address) as part of normal operation. This is used to keep the site running and is not used to build any profile of you.
We do not run our own analytics, we do not set cookies for measurement, and we do not operate any account system, so there is nothing to log in to and nothing about you to store.
Advertising
This site carries display advertising, which is how it is funded. Advertising is served by third parties, and those third parties may set cookies or use similar technologies to select and measure advertisements. That processing is theirs rather than ours, and it is governed by their own policies.
Ways to control it:
- Most browsers let you block third-party cookies entirely, which limits ad personalisation without breaking anything on this site.
- Advertising personalisation controls are available from the ad providers themselves, and in the European Union and United Kingdom a consent interface is presented before personalised advertising cookies are set.
- The site works completely with an ad blocker enabled. Every calculator, table and page functions normally.
Advertising has no relationship to editorial content. See editorial standards for the separation we maintain.
What else is loaded
Deliberately very little. The site uses no web fonts from third parties, no tracking pixels, no social media embeds, no video embeds and no comment system. The stylesheet and scripts are served from this domain. This is partly a privacy decision and partly a performance one: the pages load quickly because there is almost nothing on them that is not the page.
Children
This site is a technical reference for adults and older teenagers and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, and we operate no account system through which such information could be provided.

If what the site collects or loads changes, this page changes with it and the Updated date above reflects that. Material changes will also be noted on the corrections page.
